Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof Dr. Hamka adalah Kampus Islami Terbaik di Indonesia dan Kampus Terakreditasi A. Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Uhamka adalah salah satu Program Studi Terakreditasi A di kampus FKIP UHAMKA.
Di bulan Suci Ramadhan tepatnya Jum’at (29/4) FKIP UHAMKA berbagi kasih Bersama warga dhuafa, yatim, dan warga kurang mampu yang ada di sekitar kampus FKIP UHAMKA kampus Pasar Rebo. Kampus FKIP UHAMKA diwakili Bapak Agus Pambudi Dharma mengirimkan Sumbangan berupa Sembako kepada Warga Kelurahan Kali sari RT 11. Warga RW Kalisari yang menerima diwakili oleh Bapak Mulyanto selaku RT 011. 
Setiap tahunnya FKIP UHAMKA selalu melakukan pembagian sembako untuk warga sekitar kampus yang membutuhkan. Adanya bulan suci Ramadhan ini mendekatkan kita kepada sesama dan dapat menyisihkan sedikit harta kita untuk warga sekitar yang berkekurangan. Ini sesuai dengan Sabda Rasulullah: Dari Anas RA. Sahabat bertanya, Wahai Rasulullah, sedekah apakah yang paling utama? Rasulullah SAW. Menjawab, sedekah di bulan Ramadhan (H.R. Tirmidzi). Dari sabda Rasulullah diatas dapat kita ambil hikmahnya bahwa: sangatlah dahsyat sedekah di bulan Ramadhan.
Surat Al Baqarah ayat 195: dan infakkanlah (hartamu) di jalan Allah dan janganlah kamu menjatuhkan (diri sendiri) dalam kebinasaan dengan tangan sendiri, dan berbuat baiklah. Sungguh Allah menyukai orang-orang yang berbuat baik. Di dalam Alqur’an pun banyak ayat mengenai sedekah, infak dan berzakat yakni dapat menyucikan jiwa, diri dan harta kita; dapat membantu sesama; menunjukkan sikap kepedulian kita serta dapat meningkatkan keimanan kita kepada Allah SWT. Jadi bersedekah di bulan Ramadhan dapat membantu diri kita sendiri, jiwa, harta dan lingkungan sekitar kita.
