Bagi masyarakat awam, dimana kata “Pukul” atau “jam” menunjukkan waktu normal. Padahal, menurut kaidah bahasa Indonesia, penggunaan ketiga kata tersebut berbeda.
Pukul dan Jam merupakan dua kata yang memiliki makna berbeda, tetapi penggunaannya sering disamakan.
Pukul bertujuan untuk menunjukkan ‘saat atau waktu’ Sebagai contoh: Saat PPKM semua toko tutup pukul 21.00 WIB.
Sedangkan jam menunjjukkan maksa ‘masa atau jangka waktu’ Sebagai contoh: Kak Andra membaca buku selama 2 jam dalam sehari.
Itulah sedikit penjelasan penggunaan kata “jam”, “pukul”, dan “waktu” sesuai kaidah bahasa Indonesia. Kalian masih penasaran peredaan-perbedaan apalagi sih yang orang awam belum tahu?
